The Cricket Bat - A Tool of the Trade

Image
Cricket bats are a key tool used in cricket besides the ball. Bats are described as scapulars, flat on one side and V-shaped on the opposite side. This is believed to improve airflow around the bats, making them swing faster and with more power. The material the bats are made of is willow wood of choice for bats because it is strong, lightweight, and impact resistant. The bats are also treated with linseed oil, which is used to provide extra protection and also create more friction on the ball, giving the bats more control while playing cricket. Until the 18th century, cricket bats were shaped like modern hockey sticks. This suggests that early cricket games were played using rogue shepherds as bats. Although there is not much evidence of a very early cricket, the bat has still existed since 1729 and is representative of the earliest form of the cricket bat. When purchasing new cricket bats, be sure to make sure that the bat is well prepared for playing cricket and will last a l...

Why is it Essential to Select the Correct Cricket Bat Size?

This is a golden rule of thumb that applies to both juniors and adults. However, young players always have cricket bats that would be too big for them. This disparity in size is especially common when juniors are moving from harrow to full size. The parents are to blame here for forcing young players to have a bat bigger than necessary to grow into it. This is one of the most common cricket training mistakes. Why is it so important to have the right size racket? There are many reasons for having the right cricket bat. If the ball is too heavy, the player will be forced to change the grip trying to lift the bat during the shot. This would cause the bat to fall over the line of the ball. If the bats are too long, it will be difficult for the player to lift them correctly, as the top of the handle will get in the way. Above all, choosing the right cricket bat is essential to enhance proper technical development. So it's always best to give a young cricket player a reasonable level ...

History of Cricket

Image
The first accurate mention of "Krechetta, as it was formerly called" was in 1598 at Royal High School in Guildford. This is the earliest record for this sport. Another recorded example of the sport was as early as 1624, when a player named Jasper Winall died while playing sports during local branch matches in Sussex. Jasper was hit in the head by batsman Edward Ty when Edward tried to hit the ball a second time to avoid being caught. In 1774, a law was introduced prohibiting a batsman from hitting the ball twice. Later in the 18th century, more laws were introduced such as LBW - Foot in front of a wicket and 3 stamped wickets. Bowling emerged in the 19th century, and by the late 19th century, cricket was well known in North America, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and India. Cricket really became popular in 1963 when the counties of England introduced a limited rule, which then led to the First Limited Cricket World Cup in 1975. Cricket bats also really transf...

Fan Clubs: Cricketers Have Fan Clubs, Facebook and Twitter

When there is a game of cricket in the country, Indians may forget to sleep and eat. India is a country where you will find young children as well as adults and old people playing, chatting or watching cricket. The rest can be glued to the commentary on the radio. Cricket is a religion here. It is said that people in India understand this sport, its jargon and love the game more than anyone else in the world. Perhaps nothing connects the 7th largest country in the world like the game of cricket. Cricket management in India quickly became a very profitable business after the 1990s due to commercialization. Today, the Cricket Control Council of India (BCCI) has undoubtedly become one of the most profitable associations in the world. As well as the players, of course, they played for the award in glamorous exclusive leagues. Sponsorship began to arrive almost immediately after the Indian team won the World Championship in 1983 under the command of Kapil Dev. The next World Cup in 1987...

My Favorite Cricketer

Image
Mohammad Azharuddin is my favorite cricketer of all time. I have followed Mohammad Azharuddin closely since the early years of his distinguished career. There are quite a few cricketers whom I respect very much, but most of all I liked Azharuddin. The first thing I would like to write about Mohammad Azharuddin is his dedication to the cause. Mohammad Azharuddin is one of the few Indian cricketers who did not play for a record. Some of the so-called legends always play on their records. Azhar has always put the interests of the team above his own records. He never cared about records and played 99 credits with dignity. He doesn't need his 100th test match under his belt to prove his qualifications. It was sad to see the selfless cricketer's career end abruptly and unceremoniously amid accusations of match-fixing. In my opinion, Muhammad Azharaddin as a cricketer is a mixture of hard work and genius . He made a brilliant debut in his test career. He captured the imaginatio...
