 Not everyone knows about the sport known as the "Gentleman's Game". However, it is a popular sport outside of football in the UK as it can be traced back to the days when kings and princes played alongside their knights and soldiers. And so this game will last until today. In fact, one of the most anticipated tournaments in the world of cricket continues - the Ashes Test tournament.

But before we go a little further, here is a list of ten types of cricket that you should know about if you love the sport;

Twenty20 - First introduced and played in 2003 in the UK, however, its popularity has spread to all other cricket countries. Each team has a 20 overs quota and race to see who gets it first.

First class is the oldest form of cricket practiced long before test matches. There are many similarities between the two types, however, this type has a three-day duration, while the other can be up to five days.

Test - Among other types, this is the most difficult and known to be the ultimate test for all cricketers. This is the most accurate criterion if you are going to measure team effort and capabilities.

Club is often the world's most recognizable amateur cricket match. Despite being an amateur, beginner cricketers learn to abide by the laws of the game. Often both competing teams play it too seriously.

One-Day - As the name suggests, this tournament must have a winner of the day. It is often played with colored shapes and white balls; it is most often the best alternative to five-day matches and can attract huge numbers of spectators, especially international matches.

County - If you live in the UK you should be familiar with this type as it is often played in counties. Most often it is a competition between two districts to prove who has more top-level members. Moreover, it is most popular in England.

List A is a new type introduced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2006. Those who created this type asked the ICC to recognize him as a new part of the cricket world.

Short form - For people who have little time to watch a match for eight hours, the short form of cricket is the best alternative. Basically, all elements of the game are compressed into this type, however the match ends in about two hours.

Kwik - For parents who want to develop their children to become the most popular cricketers in the world, this type is the best starting point. It is specially designed for children who love sports. Instead of official bats and balls, children are given plastic bats and balls to avoid injury.

Indoors - As the name suggests, this type is often played in small stadiums, which means it is also faster than a traditional cricket match. You rarely see this type of cricket.
