Cricket In India

Cricket is undoubtedly the most popular sport in India. The game is played by both professionals and amateurs. The popularity of the game can be traced back to 1983, when the Indian national team won the World Cup. After the victory, many Indians developed an interest in the game.

Popularity was also boosted by the fact that many middle-class Indians could afford televisions. Since many Indians could now watch live TV from the comfort of their homes, they could follow the cricket games and news.

The Cricket Control Council of India (BCCI) has also played a huge role in the growth of the game. The board sold the game wildly, ensuring that almost every Indian knew about cricket.

The game has grown significantly over the years to become a professional sport in which many players allow themselves a luxurious life thanks to this sport.

Organization of the game

The game falls into two broad categories: domestic cricket and international cricket.

Domestic competition: a number of trophies are played here. Some of the trophies include: Ranji, Irani, NKP Salve Challenger, Duleep, Vijay Hazare, Deodhar, BCCI Corporate, Syed Mushtaq Ali, Indian Premier League, and T20 Interstate Championship trophies.

These trophies are open to the best Indian teams. The best players that are identified are usually on the national cricket team.

International cricket: here the national team participates in international games. It is gratifying to note that international cricket in India does not follow a fixed pattern - the games are played whenever possible. The largest international match played by a national team is the World Cup. The Indian national team has won world championships for several years, including: 1983, 2007 and 2011.

Both domestic and international cricket in the country is managed by the BCCI, which is the richest cricket board in the cricket world. The board is not only the richest, but also gave birth to some of the best cricketers in the world such as Sachin Tendulkar and many others.

Cricket betting

One of the most common things to do when playing cricket is cricket betting. Here, different people are betting on the team that will win. Due to the popularity of the game in the country, cricket betting is very popular and it is often possible to find Indian betting sites that allow both Indians and non-Indians to bet on their best teams. If you want to increase your chances of winning a bet, you should make sure that you fully understand the effectiveness of the team you are betting on.
