Develop Cricket From Grassroots
Sachin Tendulkar insisted on the need to develop the game from a grassroots level, celebrating the propaganda for the historic 75th anniversary of Indian Test Cricket. Tendulkar shared his vision of Indian cricket after thanking all the pioneers of Indian cricket, past and present, for making the game what it is today.
Tendulkar seems to have shown his concern for playing in India. Unsurprisingly, he is a great batsman today. He continued to support the development of the game, saying it was very important to bring the game to the mainstream. Cricket needed to be delivered to remote corners of India, and he was convinced that this was one of the main items on the BCCI agenda. “This is how this game will get bigger and better,” Tendulkar said.
He showed that his concern for aspiring players was evident from his performance. “Players from isolated and remote areas simply don't have access to cricket,” he added. He also said that providing opportunities to all players in remote locations would introduce and develop cricket in every corner of the country. Tendulkar stressed that if the infrastructure is of high quality and accessible to everyone, the next generation of cricketers will certainly be more talented and skilled.
His playing experience spoke volumes. "Cricket is fickle and change will be very fast." He added that keeping up with the times would help overcome this problem of variation. The selection of good players seemed to be his concern. He gave the key to this strategy. “When you have more players playing a game, you have more players to choose from. This will provide a good supply of great players in the long run. ”
Cricket manager Chandu Bord, who is also a former captain and chief selector, shared a similar sentiment. He expressed his delight when he spoke about what the board of directors has decided regarding rural development. “I had the privilege of being present at the captains meeting called by the board and we recommended that the game take place everywhere,” said Bord.
“We need an appropriate infrastructure so that more children are involved in the game. All these years there has been a lot of emphasis on cricket in schools, universities or colleges, which was the source of supply for the Indian team. Now this is no more. " added Bord: “I strongly believe that cricket in schools and colleges needs to be revived. We need to give our kids the best cricket foundation right from school and college. ”
