What Makes Cricket More Physically Demanding Than Baseball

Baseball may be America's favorite pastime, but in some countries it's cricket that they like to watch. What used to be a sport played only by countries of the Commonwealth has gained popularity and is now developing even in countries outside the Commonwealth.

Sports have always been compared to baseball because of the great similarities between the two sports. Each team also takes turns battling a bat and pursues the same goal - to collect as many runs as possible; even every move is called a feed. However, one of the lesser-known differences between the two sports is that cricket is a more demanding sport than baseball. What for? Some of the reasons are listed below:

Immediately - compared to baseball, cricket to cricket can take very long periods of time and in conditions of varying pitch. This can easily tire a player, especially if he plays test cricket.

Protective Gear Weight - Both sports require players to run to score. However, what makes cricket running more difficult is the fact that a player known as a cricket player needs to make running with added weight from his pillows and other equipment. A typical set of equipment for a cricketer will include leg pads, a helmet, thigh guards, guards, gloves, and even the bat itself.

Weather conditions - believe it or not, if the meteorologist predicts a cloudy day when the game will be played, this can significantly affect the performance of the batsman. This is because when the sun comes out, the ball sways more in the air. It's like a curve in baseball, except that the “curve” is not called up by the pitcher (it is a cricket bowler). On a sunny day, on the other hand, the player can sweat in buckets, as the temperature at which cricket is played can soar up to 40 degrees.

Trick 22 - Well, actually we are not talking about an absurd or paradoxical situation. By this phrase, we mean how much harder it is to catch a cricket ball than baseball. This is because a cricket ball weighs at least half an ounce heavier than a baseball; however, the first is less than the second, which makes it difficult to catch. Its circumference is 22.4 - 22 cm, so the neologism "Catch 22" in this article.

These are just some of the factors that make cricket a lot harder than baseball, and we didn't even mention that bowlers need to get through when the ball is served.

If you have not watched any cricket game, then what you mentioned here, we hope you will appreciate the game if you decide to watch it next time you turn on your sports channel.
